President Mustafa Cagjar of Somali Region in Ethiopia has thrown his weight behind the ongoing attack in Tigray by the military.
Cagjar delivered his support during a media interview with Al-Jazeera on Tuesday, November 10.
During the interview, he said that Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) had carried out multiple attacks in the region against Somalis.
Consequently, he said that his administration and the people of Somali Regional State are pleased with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s decision.
President Cagjar praised Prime Minister Ahmed for launching the military attack against TPLF.
The Ethiopian Prime Minister asked the military to step into the issue and defend the honor of the country after accusing TPLF of “crossing the red line.”
Prime Minister Ahmed cited a recent attack TPLF carried out against Ethiopian military facilities.
