President Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoorqoor of Somalia’s semiautonomous state of Galmudug has appointed a new head of the Regional Supreme Court.
Reports from Qoorqoor’s office say that Abdullahi Mohamud Ga’al is the new Chairperson of Galmudug Regional Supreme Court.
The latest developments are part of Qoorqoor’s commitment at building regional judiciary institutions that are not only effective but also staffed with experienced personnel.
Qoorqoor’s office says he made the decision after consulting other stakeholders extensively.
President Qoorqoor urged the new Chairperson to exercise diligence while performing his duties to reform and rebuild Galmudug’s judiciary.
