Kenya’s President William Ruto and Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed met in Addis Ababa to discuss collaborative efforts to address Somalia’s security challenges.
Their meeting underscored a shared commitment to regional stability and cooperation, particularly as they prepared for the African Union (AU) summit.
This highlights the ongoing importance of regional partnerships in tackling security issues in the Horn of Africa, where Somalia’s stability remains a critical concern for neighboring countries and the broader international community.
President Ruto and other African leaders are in the Ethiopian capital to elect the new Chairperson of the AU Commission (AUC), which takes place on February 15.
