Candidates in tomorrow’s presidential elections in Puntland are to address parliamentarians on Sunday.
Ahead of the January 8 elections, all the 22 candidates will get time to address the regional parliament.
Those interested in serving the regional state as the new Vice President are also scheduled to appear before the regional legislators.
Sixty-six regional legislators have the onerous tasks of electing the new President and Vice President.
The legislators will hold a special session on Sunday at the parliamentary buildings in Garowe, the capital of Puntland State.
Parliamentarians will hold today’s session and the subsequent elections under the new Speaker Abdirisakh Ahmed Said Farah, whom they elected on Thursday.
