Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has labeled Hamas a “liberation movement.”
The Somali Prime Minister said that the group, which has been fighting with Israeli forces in Gaza for several weeks now, is not a terrorist organization.
He said this while addressing a multitude of Somali scholars in Mogadishu on Thursday.
Prime Minister Barre called upon the rest of the world not to ignore the terror that the Israeli forces are visiting upon Palestinians in Gaza.
His comments echo those recently made by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.
