Prime Minister Barre Holds Productive Discussions with Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister

Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre held “productive discussions” with the Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Prime Minister Barre and Yoshimasa Hayashi met in Tunis on the sidelines of an ongoing international conference.

The two are attending the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8), which is taking place in Tunis, Tunisia.

Prime Minister Barre and Hayashi discussed wide-ranging issues when they met on Sunday, August 28.

In the Prime Minister’s words, he had a “productive meeting” with the Japanese minister.

Their talks touched on further strengthening the strong bilateral relations between the two nations in all areas of mutual benefit.
