Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre met with the Council of Ministers in Mogadishu on Thursday.
During this week’s Council of Ministers meeting, which he chaired, the Prime Minister briefed them on his recent visit to Adan Yabaal.
The Prime Minister visited Adan Yabaal, a town in Middle Shabelle, on Wednesday.
The visit was strategic since Adan Yabaal is back in government control after Somali National Army (SNA) forces liberated it from the grip of Al-Shabaab militants.
The town had been in the hands of Al-Shabaab militants for over three years.
Prime Minister Barre also brought them up to speed on the ongoing military operations against the militants in Middle Shabelle and other parts of the country.
