MOGADISHU — The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, has officially appointed Salah Xiirey Kheyre as the new Director General for Constitutional Affairs at the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
In a statement regarding the appointment, the Prime Minister directed Mr. Kheyre to perform his new responsibilities with honesty, openness, and a firm commitment to accountability.
Advancing the Framework
Prime Minister Barre highlighted the critical role of competent leadership in progressing the nation’s legal infrastructure. This appointment occurs at a pivotal moment as Somalia persists in its efforts to complete the Provisional Constitution, a significant measure in enhancing governance and state institutions following prolonged periods of instability.
