Somalia’s Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire has arrived in Dhusamareb, the administrative capital of Galmudug State, for a meeting with the leaders of the Federal Member States (FMS).
Early on Tuesday, unconfirmed reports emerged saying that Prime Minister Khaire was scheduled to attend the meeting.
President Said Abdullahi Deni, President Ahmed Mohamed Madobe, and President Abdiaziz Lafta-Gareen of Puntland, Jubaland, and Southwest states are in the meeting.
Joining them are President Mohamed Abdi Ware of HirShabelle and their host President Ahmed Abdi Kariye alias Qoorqoor.
The five regional leaders organized the Dhusamareb meeting after the one scheduled for early July 2020 between them and President Mohamed Farmaajo in Mogadishu failed to take place.
