Prime Minister Roble Condoles with Turkish Vice President

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has sent messages of condolences to Turkey’s Vice President over the tragic loss of life in the recent earthquake.

Last week, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia on Friday, October 30.

So far, death toll from the earthquake has topped 80.

More than 1,000 have been injured in the wake of the deadly earthquake.

On Sunday, November 1, Prime Minister Roble spoke with Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay on phone to condole with him for the “tragic loss of life.”

During the call, Prime Minister Roble informed Vice President Oktay that he would continue praying for the speedy recovery of all those who were injured in the incident.

He also prayed to Allah to “have mercy on those who had lost their lives tragically and unexpectedly.”

Turkey remains one of Somalia’s most loyal and committed international partners.

It has invested in Somalia’s health infrastructure and helped to train some of the country’s elite military forces.
