Prime Minister Roble Holds Meeting with Turkish Ambassador

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held a meeting in Mogadishu with the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia on October 29.

Roble hosted Ambassador Mehmet Yilmaz at his office on Thursday.

The Prime Minister discussed several issues of mutual benefit to their nations with Ambassador Yilmaz.

Among the issues discussed include the importance of strengthening bilateral relations.

Furthermore, Roble and Yilmaz spoke about development cooperation. They discussed the progress made in the area of security.

Turkey has invested heavily in Somalia, especially in health and education sectors.

Additionally, the European nation has trained security officers in Somalia. Turkey also trained one of Somalia’s specialized military units.

The Prime Minister acknowledged Turkey as one of Somalia’s strongest and trusted international partners.

Ambassador Yilmaz reassured Roble of his country’s continued support for the people and government of Somalia.
