Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble is scheduled to visit Kenya following the resumption of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
Roble’s visit of Kenya will be his maiden one to Somalia’s East African neighbor.
He will be touring Kenya three months after President Uhuru Kenyatta invited him during a trip that the two made to Djibouti.
Uhuru invited Prime Minister Roble to Kenya while in Djibouti for the inauguration of President Omar Ismail Guelleh.
Thus far, Roble has been unable to honor the invitation owing to the political uncertainty bedeviling Somalia.
According to sources, Roble will tour Kenya any time from today only a few hours after it was confirmed that Raychelle Omamo, Kenya’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, would travel to Mogadishu on August 8.
