Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble received a warm welcome when he arrived in Galmudug to begin his official visit in the region.
The plane carrying the Prime Minister landed at Galmudug’s airport on December 14.
On December 7, Prime Minister Roble announced that he would be embarking on a tour of the five Federal Member States (FMS) to discuss a raft of issues.
Top on his agenda is to find solutions for the electoral impasse that threatens to delay elections around the country.
President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor of Galmudug was at the airport together with senior officials of his administration to welcome Roble.
The Prime Minister offered his gratitude to Qoorqoor, regional government officials, and local residents for according him the warm welcome.
He promised to hold discussions on the local economy and security with Qoorqoor and other regional leaders.
Prime Minister Roble arrived in Galmudug after his two-day official visit of Puntland.
