Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble’s newly appointed cabinet was sworn in on Saturday, October 24.
The cabinet ministers, who include a substantial number retained from previous Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire’s regime, were sworn in after parliament approved their appointment.
All 188 Members of Parliament (MPs) of the House of Representatives voted to approve Roble’s new list of ministers.
Immediately thereafter, the ministers took the oath of office.
The ministers now have four months to work before Somalia holds parliamentary elections thus leading to the formation of a new government.
