Tons of prisoners in Somalia endure unjust treatment on a regular basis.
Gen. Mahad Abdirahman Aden, the Commander of the Somali Custodial Corps, said this in an interview with the press on Wednesday.
Specifically, he called out the injustice that takes place in prisons around the country.
Gen. Aden mentioned that the situation is much worse in Mogadishu prisons.
“Several prisoners have been behind bars for more than a decade. They endure unjust treatment at the hands of prison officers while waiting for their cases to be resolved,” Gen. Aden added.
