Two youth leaders have been appointed to the National Electoral Commission (NEC) because of their support for President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
Consequently, opposition politicians have “rejected” their appointment and the composition of the NEC.
The politicians state that the presence of the two individuals who lead youth organizations is testament to the flawed preparations for elections.
Opposition politicians have called the youth leaders “handpicked loyalists appointed to ensure that Farmaajo wins presidential elections.”
They have all rejected the “biased” polls body.
