A convoy featuring Puntland Army came under intense attack on October 17.
Sources from the region indicate that the convoy was attacked at Bari region near Bosaso city on Sunday.
Several casualties were reported.
Al-Shabaab militants fired at the convoy causing an explosion that left a few people dead and many others injured.
According to one soldier, the convoy was on its way to Af-urur village when the attack occurred.
There has been no official word from the Puntland regional forces.
