The Ministry of Health in Somalia’s Puntland State, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and Gavi, has successfully concluded an integrated immunization campaign targeting measles, pneumococcal disease (PCV), and polio.
Health officials said the campaign aimed to protect thousands of children across the state from preventable diseases through coordinated delivery of life-saving vaccines. The initiative reflects strong inter-agency cooperation and commitment to strengthening public health and routine immunization in Puntland.
