The regional state of Puntland has elected five new Members of Parliament (MPs).
The MPs are now getting ready to join the federal House of the People (Lower House) in Mogadishu.
Puntland elected the MPs in elections held on Saturday, January 22.
The elections took place in Garowe, the administrative capital of Puntland.
Among the newly elected legislators are a federal cabinet minister and two regional ministers in President Said Abdullahi Deni’s administration.
