Puntland Forces Discover 32 Foreign Passports at ISIS Base in Al-Miskad Mountains

Puntland’s Counter-Terrorism Forces recently conducted operations in the Al-Miskaad mountains, a known stronghold for ISIS militants.

During these operations, they seized multiple foreign passports and identification documents left behind by fleeing ISIS fighters.

The recovered items included passports from Saudi Arabia and other foreign identification cards.

In addition to these documents, Puntland forces uncovered significant evidence of ISIS activities, such as records of extortion, counterfeit currency operations, and resource exploitation in the region.

These findings underscore the international composition of ISIS fighters operating in Somalia and highlight the group’s extensive operations within the Al-Miskaad mountains.
