The regional state of Puntland has inaugurated secondary school examinations.
President Said Abdullahi Deni declared the examinations open officially on Saturday.
The region will see 22,626 students sitting for the exams.
Puntland was the only regional state not to join the rest of the country in sitting for the national exams.
National exams took place in May.
