The regional state of Puntland has launched a polio vaccination campaign.
Puntland State’s Ministry of Health launched the polio vaccination campaign in conjunction with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Somalia.
World Health Organization (WHO) Somalia also played a crucial role in the campaign.
According to Puntland’s health ministry, the vaccination campaign targets children under the age of 5 years in Galkayo town.
The town is within the Mudug region.
