President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland has hit out at Mogadishu accusing it of hoarding all the power.
The Puntland leader said that Mogadishu has “centralized” all the power.
He accused Mogadishu of hatching plans to take the East African nation back to the days of a centralized federal government.
President Deni spoke on Sunday night while commemorating the fourth anniversary of his term as the leader of Puntland.
He added that Mogadishu’s thirst for more power prevented him from signing two articles discussed and agreed upon in last month’s National Consultative Council (NCC).
In his words, the two articles he refused to sign were “anti-federalist.”
