The leader of the regional state of Puntland has expressed reservation at the proposed elimination of the Prime Minister’s office in the new political system in the country.
Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni said that he was against the elimination of the parliamentary system in favor of the presidential alternative.
He was speaking on Wednesday while addressing the new session of the Puntland Regional Parliament in Garowe.
Further, in his speech, President Deni added that several federal leaders took actions that threatened the unity of Somalia as a nation.
The proposed introduction of only two political parties competing for power in national politics also attracted President Deni’s wrath.
