The chief of the Puntland police has accused Puntland Security Force (PSF) of constantly targeting his officers with physical attacks.
Major General Mumin Shire said that members of PSF recently attacked Bosaso Central Prison.
They injured two police officers who were on duty at the prison during the shocking incident that took place on Wednesday.
However, the PSF command has denied these reports.
They denied authorizing the attack at the Bosaso Central Prison.
A statement issued by PSF clarifies that its officers attacked the prison in their personal capacity after their loved ones were arrested and detained at the facility.
PSF added that it had already arrested all those involved in the prison attack.
On their part, PSF said that Maj. Gen. Shire was making false accusations. Instead, they accused him of being behind the kidnapping of Mohamud Jamal Doho, a PSF spokesperson.
Doho was recently kidnapped in Garowe.
