The regional state of Puntland received election materials ahead of the local government polls that are scheduled to kick off soon.
On September 29, a plane carrying the election materials landed at Garowe Airport.
Officials from the Transitional Puntland Electoral Commission (TPEC) were at the airport to receive the materials.
Puntland is currently preparing for local government elections.
The regional state is to conduct its first one-person-one-vote (1P1V) in electing local government officials in three districts.
The districts in question are Eyl, Ufeyn, and Qardho.
