According to the authorities, the region is in line for unnecessarily intense rains, which could cause untold damages through flash floods.
Consequently, people living in low-lying parts of Puntland have been encouraged to not only be vigilant, but also move to higher grounds.
Most of the rains and floods are expected in specific parts of the region. These include Nugal, Sanaag, Sool, and Bari.
Local residents have been asked to take cognizant of the dangers associated with increasingly intense rainfalls and flooding.
The latest news is likely to affect residents negatively considering that they have already dealt with abnormal rains and flash floods in the last 3-5 months.
