Puntland issued a decree canceling the training of federal government forces at Bari with immediate effect.
Federal government troops have been undergoing training at the Military Training College, which is in Carmo, Bari for years.
Specifically, the training has benefited soldiers at Sool, Cayn, and Sanaag.
The decree, which was issued on October 18, required all the soldiers at the college to leave and return to their respective homes.
Senior military officers at the college are yet to provide further details on this development.
However, there are suggestions that the move could be because of the bad blood between Puntland and Mogadishu.
Previously, Puntland stopped soldiers trained in Mogadishu from joining Somali National Army (SNA) in the region.
