Garowe, Somalia – Acting President and Vice President of Puntland, Ilyas Osman Lugatoor, met on Monday with Martina Durrer, Head of International Cooperation at the Swiss Embassy in Somalia.
They held the meeting to enhance bilateral cooperation and fast-track Swiss-supported development initiatives in the northern Somali region.
The meeting, held in the Puntland capital Garowe, focused on accelerating ongoing and planned projects aimed at improving livelihoods, infrastructure, and governance.
VP Lugatoor expressed appreciation for Switzerland’s continued partnership and its critical contributions to Puntland’s development progress.
The engagement marks a strengthening of Puntland’s international ties as the region seeks to build resilience and foster long-term growth through strategic collaborations.
