The local Puntland administration has announced plans to construct a new suburb in Qardho City.
President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland revealed this plan on January 18 when visiting several infrastructural projects in Qardho.
Deni was in the company of senior officers from his administration.
On Monday, he toured the site where the new suburb is scheduled to be built to ease housing congestion in the city.
While touring the site, President Deni said that his government remains committed to developing social infrastructures to improve the lives of the citizens.
It is not yet clear when the construction of the suburb will end, though.
