Several Federal Government of Somalia officials claimed that the joint communiqué issued in the aftermath of the Puntland Consultative Conference was mutilated.
However, Mohamed Abdirahman Dhabanad, the Interior Minister in the Puntland administration of President Saed Deni has refuted those claims.
Dhabanad said, “Nothing was manipulated. The communiqué was intact as agreed upon by all parties at the consultative meeting.”
Several cabinet colleagues accompanied Dhabanad as he addressed the media to allay the fears put forward by FGS officials.
According to Dhabanad and his colleagues, most participants had no problem with the outcome of the conference.
He says that those who never attended the meeting and members of the Diaspora were in agreement with all the deliberations arrived at during the meeting.
