The Qatari government has condemned the deadly terror attack carried out against Afrik Hotel in Mogadishu.
On January 31, Al-Shabaab militants targeted the hotel in a deadly and daring attack that left nine people – including five extremists – dead.
On Monday, the Qatari government issued a statement hitting out at extremists for carrying out the deadly attack.
In the statement, Qatar strongly expressed its “condemnation and denunciation” of the deadly suicide bombing and the ensuing siege that lasted close to 8 hours.
Qatar expressed its dismay at the Sunday evening incident through the Middle East nation’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The foreign affairs ministry stated that Qatar is against “violence and terrorism” regardless of the circumstances and reasons behind it.
Qatar wished the injured speedy recovery.
