President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor of Galmudug State traveled outside Dhusamareb to receive President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland on February 2.
Qoorqoor made the trip to welcome his colleague who traveled from Puntland on Tuesday to attend the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS) talks.
Deni’s arrival in Dhusamareb for the talks organized to discuss the ongoing electoral crisis in Somalia is quite significant.
Together with President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Jubbaland, Deni is considered one of the most influential Somali leaders.
Deni took a road trip from Adado.
Many analysts believe that Deni’s presence at the elections talks is more important than that of President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
