Roads were blocked for the better part of the day as Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble visited public hospitals in Mogadishu on Sunday.
Roble visited the facilities to inspect them and for a first-hand observation of the quality of healthcare provided to patients.
Several top government officials, including Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, the Minister of Health, accompanied him in his inspection tour.
However, several main roads in the nation’s capital were blocked or closed off to enable the Prime Minister’s entourage to travel efficiently.
With this development, road users were inconvenienced greatly including schoolchildren going to their respective institutions of learning in the morning.
Members of the public were only able to access the roads later in the day once Prime Minister’s inspection tour ended.
