Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has expressed his delight at the news that Speaker Abdi Hashi and Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Gulaid are now ready to bury their differences and work together.
On September 5, Prime Minister Roble “welcomed the agreement signed today between Speaker Hashi and DPM Gulaid.”
Hashi, the Speaker of the Upper House, and the Deputy Prime Minister have been in conflict regarding the composition of the team tasked with the senatorial elections in Somaliland.
Differences between the two leaders created a rift between the members of the electoral team.
Prime Minister Roble expressed hope that Upper House and Lower House elections would now commence soon.
