Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has denied recent rumors that the government supports plans to dissolve the Chamber of Commerce.
On January 13, Roble admitted that plans to dissolve Somalia National Chamber of Commerce were ill advised.
Roble made this admission when he addressed the media on Wednesday.
He confirmed that reports from the Ministry of Trade regarding the dissolution of the chamber were untrue and not the work of the entire Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
“It is not true that the Chamber of Commerce stands disbanded or that the government supports its dissolution,” Roble said during his press conference.
