Roble Discusses Bilateral Engagements with UK Ambassador to Somalia

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held a meeting with the United Kingdom Ambassador to Somalia on Thursday, November 18.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed several issues of mutual interest to Somalia and the UK.

For the most part, their discussions revolved around the need to proceed with regular bilateral engagements.

Further, Prime Minister Roble and Ambassador Ben Fender discussed Somalia’s upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections.

Security issues, especially those revolving around the Somali Police Force (SPF) also featured heavily in the meeting.

Roble and Ambassador Fender also talked about the overall management of the transition period.

Prime Minister Roble described his meeting with Ambassador Fender as “good and highly productive.”
