Roble Discusses Electoral Process with National Consultative Assembly

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held a meeting on September 22 with the National Consultative Assembly.

During the meeting, Roble and members of the consultative assembly discussed the progress of the country’s electoral process.

Somalia has conducted elections for Upper House seats at the regional state level.

Local government elections and parliamentary polls are next. At the end of the year, the East African nation should hold presidential polls.

The meeting between the Prime Minister and the consultative assembly comes in the midst of a breakdown in relations between Roble and President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
