Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble discussed national census with a delegation from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
Roble and the UNFPA delegation met in Mogadishu on November 21.
Dr. Luay Shabaneh, the Arab States Regional Director, led the team from UNFPA in the meeting with the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Roble asked the Somalia National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS) to expedite preparations for the census.
During the meeting, Roble spoke about his country’s plans for the census.
He also reiterated the commitment of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) in ensuring that the national population and housing census takes place.
