Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held discussions with several senior leaders over preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Somaliland.
The Prime Minister met with Abdi Hashi, the Speaker of the Senate (Upper House), and Mahdi Gulaid, the Deputy Prime Minister.
His discussions with these leaders took place on October 2 in his office.
The Chairperson of the Somaliland Indirect Electoral Team (SEIT) also attended Saturday’s meeting in Mogadishu.
Somaliland is just from holding regional state elections for its 11 Upper House seats.
Now, preparations are in top gear for the parliamentary polls that are scheduled for later this month before presidential elections take place before the end of the year.
