Roble Meets Candidates Interested in Upcoming Parliamentary Speaker Elections

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held a meeting with candidates interested in the upcoming parliamentary speaker elections.

The Prime Minister held the meeting with two of the candidates on April 7.

First, he met with Adan Madoobe before holding discussions shortly after with Sharif Abdallah.

Elections to choose the new speakers for the House of the People (Lower House) and Senate (Upper House) are due soon.

The country has to hold a swearing-in ceremony for all the newly elected lawmakers.

The swearing-in ceremony is on April 14 in Mogadishu.

Prime Minister Roble’s meetings with Madoobe and Abdallah took place on the backdrop of his recent quarrels with President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen of Southwest State.
