Roble Opens National Consultative Forum Meeting in Mogadishu

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has opened the National Consultative Forum meeting that has kicked off in Mogadishu.

The forum was initially to take place from Thursday, August 19.

However, it had to be pushed to Saturday as Prime Minister Roble had been in Egypt for an official visit for the majority of this week.

The forum attracted participants from the Federal Government of Somalia (FMS) and Federal Member States (FMS).

Representatives from opposition parties are also at the forum.

Some of the issues leaders at the forum are to discuss include accelerating electoral activities.

However, the focus is more likely to be on the preparations for elections for the House of Representatives after senatorial polls took place successfully at the regional state level.
