Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has promised the people of Somaliland credible elections for their Upper House seats.
The Prime Minister spoke on September 7 when he attended a reconciliatory meeting between top politicians from the region.
Upper House Speaker Abdi Hashi and Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Gulaid buried their differences regarding the composition and leadership of the Somaliland electoral team.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Roble commended the people of Somaliland for their solidarity, more so during the electoral dispute.
“I will help the Somaliland people to hold free, fair, and credible elections,” Roble said.
He vowed to work with the leaders and people of Somaliland to overcome any pending obstacle.
Prime Minister Roble expressed hope that the elections for the Upper House seats in Somaliland would kick off soon.
