Mohamed Hussein Roble has expressed vote of thanks to the House of Representatives (Lower House) for endorsing his appointment as Somalia’s new Prime Minister.
On Wednesday, Members of Parliament (MPs) in the Lower House voted unanimously to approve President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo’s appointment of Roble as premier.
The MPs held a session at Villa Somalia where all the 215 lawmakers present voted in favor of Roble’s appointment.
Afterward, Roble addressed the MPs and thanked them for the “exceptional trust” in his ability to perform his role and duty as the new Prime Minister.
Further, he also extended his gratitude to President Farmaajo and Speaker Mohamed Hursal of the Lower House for the overwhelming seal of approval.
Roble promised to form a government that would prioritize efficient delivery of services to all Somalis without fear or discrimination.
