Roble Urges Politicians to Avoid Hate Speech during the Electioneering Period

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble issued a call to politicians in Somalia to avoid hate speech or remarks that could jeopardize peace and harmony in the country.

The Prime Minister made the call on January 6, 2021 during his meeting with Abdirahman Abdishakur, the leader of opposition Wadajir Party.

Roble made these remarks while discussing wide-ranging issues with the Wadajir Party leader.

They talked about the importance of building consensus in the elections process to bring all stakeholders on board.

Furthermore, the two leaders agreed that politicians have to find ways of ironing out any differences and issues they have with each other.

More importantly, he reiterated the call for an end to hate speech or any kind of incitement to violence and lawlessness.
