Russia and Turkey to Deliver Grain Free of Charge to Needy East African Nations

Russia and Turkey have promised to deliver grain free of charge to needy countries in the East African region.

The two European nations announced the free delivery on November 5 through Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

East African nations are experiencing one of the worst droughts in the region’s history.

There are fears that famine looms large in the region in the coming months.

Some of the countries more likely to benefit from the delivery of grain at no cost include Djibouti, Somalia, and Sudan.
