The salaries of all officers working for the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) have been increased.
Mahad Salad, the new NISA Director, announced the salary increment on July 28.
He increased his officers’ salaries barely three months after President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud appointed him the new NISA head.
NISA officers who used to earn $150 per month will now be earning $200.
Their colleagues who initially took home a monthly pay of $200 can now look forward to earning $300.
Meanwhile, Salad also increased the other salaries from $300 and $400 to $350 and $500 respectively.
