A Saudi Arabia foundation has signed a deal that would allow it to provide drought-stricken communities in Somalia with clean drinking water.
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, otherwise known as KSRelief, signed the agreement with a civil society organization from Somalia.
The agreement is worth $5 million.
Through it, KSRelief is to drill 24 solar-powered artesian wells. Further, the organization would also restore another 20 wells.
The deal would benefit over 1 million Somalis in various parts of the country.
