The second round of polio vaccination has kicked off in Mogadishu.
Mayor Omar Mohamud Mohamed Filish of Mogadishu launched the vaccination exercise on Monday, June 6.
He was in the company of several officials from different organizations.
Some of the senior officers were from the United Nations Office of the Resident Coordinator (UNRC).
Others were from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), who all took part in the vaccination exercise.
They all offered Somali children oral vaccination for polio.
