Senior officials from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and World Food Programme (WFP) visited Gedo to assess the impact of drought in the region.
They were in the company of representatives from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
Specifically, they mostly focused on Dollow, a district within Gedo in the regional state of Jubbaland.
The ongoing drought in Somalia continues to affect millions of people around the country negatively.
